The Law Offices of Karl J. Stoecker is one of the pre-eminent New York law firms devoted exclusively to representing employees in discrimination, overtime and other wage and hour matters . Karl has practiced law for more than 25 years. He is a 1987 graduate of the St. John's University School of Law where he received a full merit scholarship as a St. Thomas More Scholar and was a member of the Law Review. He received his early legal training representing large corporations at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and thereafter became the youngest partner in a firm that pioneered the use of class actions on behalf of employees, investors and consumers. He accordingly brings the unique perspective of having both defended, and prosecuted, cases against large corporate employers. Karl serves as a mediator in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the New York State Supreme Court for New York County. He is also a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the National Employment Lawyers Association. When not pursuing claims on behalf of his clients Karl devotes his time to cycling and photography.
